Testimonials

I was thrilled to help support the Rotary Club of Dunwoody’s “FORE! The Memories” golf tournament as a volunteer and sponsor.  Our family has watched my wife’s sister and brother-in-law suffer from this terrible disease.  We pray that a cure can be discovered as a result of research funded by events like this one.

Things that we try to do for fellow mankind, but I was blown away with the quality of the event, especially of people who have embraced and dealt with Alzheimer disease.   It brought the message home, and a very forthright way to one of the most horrific diseases that is on planet earth. Way to go rotary club!!
The best part of being a volunteer was observing and sharing in the energy and excitement when the golfers returned from their games. The board kept changing as the lead went from one to another. What an uplifting experience—especially when I realized the funds raised would go to such a worthy cause!

I had a fantastic time volunteering for the Rotary Club of Dunwoody’s First Golf Tournament. It was well planned and organized and everyone I spoke with had a wonderful time. Our Rotary family of volunteers as always ensured they helped in multiple capacities in addition to the tasks they were originally assigned, and all were committed to making the event memorable and successful.  Volunteering for a cause that assists Alzheimer’s and other charities is gratifying in itself but the camaraderie of our Rotarians while doing this is cherry on the cake.  Good luck for 2023 and looking forward to volunteering again.
It was my honor to be a volunteer at the first Dunwoody Alzheimer’s Tournament. I volunteered because I knew how much help and support Alzheimer’s victims and their families need to make it through the long journey they must endure and to also fund the research necessary to mitigate the progression of the disease. My dear friend, Nelson Sechrist, has been under Alzheimer’s care for the past 6 years. Perfect in every way but memory and now conversation. I also enjoyed working with my Dunwoody club members during the event as we delivered drinks to those on the course and secured participants for the event. I am honored to assist our club who does so much to support local, national, and global needs. Who would not want to be engaged in such a worthwhile cause that brings so many together for a great day while helping others?

I was a volunteer/golfer. I helpEd set up the check in area and worked there for a while. After that it was the golf, which I enjoyed immensely.  Given the state of my game it’s nice to play best ball.  I enjoyed the camaraderie, the weather, and the overall atmosphere of a very well run tournament.  Hats off to Bob and all the other folks who organized it.
I was both a sponsor and volunteer at our first event. It was an amazing experience. The venue is beautiful, and we all worked together to create a memorable day for the golfers in the name of a great cause. I am looking forward to next year.
